Easy Way to Print Layered PDF Patterns for DIY Bikini
Welcome to the Bikini Design Club, your ultimate destination for DIY bikini tutorials. Today, we're focusing on an easy way to print layered PDF patterns for your DIY bikini. This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process, ensuring you achieve the perfect fit and finish for your bikini.
Downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Before we dive into the printing process, it's important to have the right software. We recommend Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for this task. It's free and easy to install. Just go to get.adobe.com and follow the instructions to install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your computer.
Opening the Pattern
Once you have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed, you can open the PDF pattern. There are three ways to do this:
1. Double-click on the file to open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
2. Right-click on the file, select 'Open With', and choose Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
3. Open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, go to 'File', select 'Open', and choose your file.
Selecting the Size Layer
Our patterns come in 12 different sizes, from size 2 to size 24. They are placed on our PDF with layers, meaning you can choose the sizes that you want to print. You can print them all or just the size that you want to sew. We've also included seam allowances of 0.8 centimeters on all patterns, so you can cut directly when you assemble the pattern and start cutting the fabrics directly with your pattern print.
Printing the Pattern
To print the pattern, go to 'File', select 'Print', and ensure the 'Custom Scale' is set to 100%. Then, go to 'Page Setup', choose the paper size that you have, and print. The preview adjusts to the paper size, making it easy to print and ready to assemble and start sewing.
Assembling the Pattern
We've included squares lines on the corners and in the middle of our pages to help you place the sheets lines perfectly. You also have numbers and letters to help you assemble the pattern pages correctly.
Grading Your Pattern
If you want to grade your pattern, you can use the notches on some specific areas to grade your pattern more easily. You can also see where we have the grain line in every size, even if you unsee the other sizes.
And there you have it! You're now ready to start sewing your DIY bikini. If you have any questions, don't forget to mention them in the comments below on the YT video. Happy sewing!
